The Christian Europe library focuses on the mediaeval, reformation, and pre-modern eras of European history, from the 5th to the 17th centuries. From the conversion of the Germanic tribes in the early middle ages to the aftermath of the Reformation, Christianity was the organizing principle of European civilization, and the Christian Europe library includes books that emphasize both the political and religious aspects of the European Middle ages.
The library includes books written from both Catholic and Protestant perspectives, and focuses mainly on the dominions of France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.
